FEBRUARY 8 – 16, 2019

Our CNY Camp 2019 will comprise of a mix of language and Chinese cultural learning for children 2.5 – 12 years old.  Our 2.5 hour Camp will be conducted entirely in Putonghua and will include the following activities:
Children 2.5 – 5 years old: vocabulary recognition, songs, games, introductory pinyin, speech and drama, pencil exercises, sentence reading, Chinese grammar, art and painting, Chinese cultural learning, Chinese dance, storytelling, Wushu, poem recital etc.
Children 6 – 8 years old: Chinese character writing, sentence formation, pinyin, Chinese grammar, speech and drama, art and painting, Chinese cultural activities, storytelling, reading comprehension, Wushu, Chinese dance, STEM activities etc.  (Initial assessment of student’s proficiency level is required)
Children 9 – 12 years old: Chinese writing enhancement, reading comprehension, grammar reinforcement exercises, Putonghua speech and drama, Chinese painting, Chinese dance, Wushu, STEM activities etc.  (Initial assessment of student’s proficiency level is required)
STEM – stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.  Children in the 21st century need to be equipped with creative, team work and problem solving skills.  Our junior STEM classes offer a variety of workshops including CODING, 3D Pen doodling and 3D Modelling/Printing to help children experience and learn how to become more innovative and confident, while also working as both an individual and in a team.

General Timetable

2.5 – 5 year olds: 1 hour Chinese Grammar learning + 1.5 hour Fun activity (PTH Art, Wushu, Chinese Dance or Couplet Writing)

6 – 12 year old: 1.5 hour Chinese Grammar learning + 1 hour Fun activity (PTH Art, Wushu, Couplet Writing, STEM activities)
