2-3yearsHow Does the Chinese Curriculum in International Schools Differ?

In Hong Kong, there are currently more than 30 International Schools with over 20 of them offering IB DP programs. As such, the Chinese curriculum of each school depends on the overall program offered by the school, with great variations in structure and approaches. With IB being a dual language program, schools that offer IB curriculum would support a stronger Chinese structure. Many international schools stream their students into different Chinese levels depending on individual student’s proficiency. It is helpful to find out what programs are offered by each school (AP/IBDP/GSCE etc.), whether they stream students into different Chinese classes, what is their assessment criteria etc, in order to pave the path for your child’s Chinese learning. Please feel free to consult with us anytime about your child’s Chinese learning needs.
